TwozyGames has always been a curation site: we hunt through hundreds of HTML5 games, test them, and write up the ones worth your time. But five games in our catalog are different โ we made them. The TwozyGames Originals are designed, coded and playtested entirely in-house, and they exist for one reason: we wanted games built exactly for the way people actually use this site โ two people at one desk, a few spare minutes, and zero patience for loading screens.
Every Original follows the same rules. Each game is a single self-contained file that loads in about a second, with no downloads, no accounts, and no tracking. Each one plays two ways: solo against a CPU with three genuinely different difficulty levels, or 2-player on one keyboard โ the same-keyboard duel format this site is named after. And each ships with its own strategy tips and developer notes on its game page, because we know exactly how these games work: we wrote every line.
1. Sumo Smash โ the physics duel
Two glowing sumo balls, one neon ring, first to five knockouts. The trick that makes Sumo Smash more than a button-masher: every collision bounces both players, so charging in blindly is as likely to eject you as your rival. Four stages change the rules โ a shrinking ring, bumper pillars, and an ice floor where momentum is king. Start on Easy, and save your dash for the moment of contact.
2. Neon Hockey โ angles and timing
Air hockey with real momentum physics: your paddle's speed transfers into every hit, so a flick sends a soft rebound while a full-speed charge fires a screamer off the side walls. The goal mouth is barely a third of the wall, which makes bank shots the meta. First to seven goals wins.
3. Spike! โ one button, endless rallies
Slime volleyball with a single rule โ don't let the ball touch your floor โ and a single extra button: jump. The depth comes from momentum: hit the ball while rising for a downward spike, or standing still for a gentle set. Rallies against the Hard CPU get genuinely tense.
4. Tank Duel โ ricochet artillery
Top-down tank combat where every shell bounces off walls up to twice, so the deadliest shots arrive from angles nobody was watching. You get three shells in the air at once and a short reload โ and yes, your own ricochet can come back and destroy you. Aim at surfaces, not tanks.
5. Trail Duel โ the territory war
Two neon light-cycles, one grid, and trails that become permanent walls. You only ever steer, but every move builds your wall while shrinking the shared arena. Head-on crashes resolve as honest draws, and the Hard CPU reads fourteen cells ahead. Simple rules, sweaty matches.
How to play them
All five live on the Originals hub. Click a game, pick Solo or 2 Players on the title screen, choose a CPU difficulty with D, and go. In 2-player mode the keys split across the keyboard โ one player on WASD, the other on Arrow Keys โ so two people fit side by side. On phones, Solo mode gets tap menus and a touch joystick automatically.
If you enjoy them, the best follow-ups in our catalog are the 2-player collection and our same-keyboard setup guide. And if you're curious how these games were built โ the physics decisions, the AI design, the bugs we found playtesting โ we wrote that story up in Behind the Code.
