No Keyboard Needed — 2-Player Games for One Mouse or One Screen

Most two-player browser games split a keyboard: one of you on WASD, the other on the arrow keys. That works at a desk, and much less well on a tablet, a phone or a cramped laptop. This list is the other kind. Every game here is played with a pointer — a mouse click or drag on a computer, a tap on a touchscreen — so one device and one input are enough for two. Most are turn-based: one of you moves, then hands over. There are no keys to remember and no reaching across each other, which also makes them an easy start with someone who rarely plays games.

🎯 Why these games made the list

The test was the input, not the genre. A game made the list only if two people can play it on one device with nothing but a pointer. Nine of the picks are our own Originals, all turn-based boards built for exactly this. Button is flick curling you play by dragging back and letting go. Sleight is pairs on a board that rearranges itself when you miss. Vector has you tap where your car goes next. Spill, Tilt, Nerve, Fulcrum, Quilt and Bloom each give you one tap-sized decision per turn. From the catalogue, two games qualify on their publishers' own words: Soccer Duel is played with the mouse or a tap, alone or with a friend on the same device, and 2 Player Games Kids Kitchen is a restaurant you run together with friends by clicking or tapping.

💡 How to enjoy this collection

On a laptop, sit side by side and pass the mouse or trackpad when the turn changes; an external mouse is easier to hand over than a shared trackpad. On a tablet or phone, lay it flat between you. Start with Quilt if one of you is new to games — it has no timer and no way to lose. Move to Button or Nerve once you want a winner, and save Sleight for when you both feel sharp: its board rearranges itself every time someone misses.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Do any of these need a keyboard?

No. Every game here is played with a pointer: a mouse click or drag on a computer, or a tap on a touchscreen. Some of our Originals also accept keys, but you never need them.

Can we play these on one phone?

Our nine Originals here, yes: they are turn-based and built for one shared touchscreen. Soccer Duel and Kids Kitchen are mouse-or-tap games by their publishers' description, but neither is flagged as mobile-compatible, so a computer is the safer choice for those two.

How do two people share one mouse?

Take turns. In the turn-based games only one of you acts at a time, so the mouse changes hands when the turn passes, and our games show whose turn it is.

Is it free?

Yes. Everything here runs in the browser on TwozyGames with no installation or account, and TwozyGames charges nothing. Our Originals carry no ads inside the game.
