The 50-crate destruction goal creates clear per-level objectives, while the variety of tools (stones, bombs, bricks, Ghost trapping) gives you multiple strategic approaches to each puzzle. Where the game shines is in its commitment to logical depth; chain reactions in other games are often cosmetic, but here they're central to solving levels. The downside is that the Boulder Dash influence means the format is extremely well-explored, and while Kaboom Miner is polished, it doesn't fundamentally reinvent the classic. Where it pushes past the Boulder Dash comparison is the Ghost trapping layer — managing aggressive enemies while planning chain reactions adds a real-time pressure that puzzle classics don't carry. Level-based, suits short focused sessions over longer marathon play.
