The enemy formation analysis before battles creates clear planning phases that structure each encounter. Where the game shines is in this strategic clarity; you always know what you're supposed to do, even if execution is challenging. The downside is that the rock-paper-scissors system is well-established, and while this version is polished, it doesn't break new ground. Where the formation analysis pays off is in the early-battle micro-decisions — committing to a hard counter only works if your scouting was right, and missing one unit type buried in the enemy line can flip the whole engagement.
