Sudoku is the classic 9×9 number puzzle: fill every row, column, and 3×3 box with digits 1 through 9, with no repetitions. You start with a partially filled grid, and your job is to deduce each remaining digit using pure logic. Click or tap a cell to select it, then enter a number via on-screen buttons or your keyboard. Most versions provide pencil-mark options for noting candidate digits. Difficulty typically ranges from beginner (many starting numbers) to expert (very few clues). No guessing is required if you follow the logic correctly.

• Scan rows and columns first — if a digit appears eight times, the ninth placement is forced.
• Use pencil marks aggressively on medium+ puzzles; they turn guesswork into deduction.
• Look for 'naked pairs' — two cells that can only hold the same two digits eliminate those digits elsewhere in the unit.
• When stuck, rotate your attention: start with boxes, then rows, then columns, and repeat.
• Avoid guessing; if you can't see the next step, you've missed a logical pattern somewhere.
